How do you stop yourself from acting completely irrational in a situation with friends?
I hate how people act so shady when they "think" you're going to get upset over something. When really, the only reason to get upset is the shadiness! Ridiculous I tell you! Let's take a trip back to highschool and leave the drama there ok? The only way I know how to deal with this is to put up a wall and give some space to the person. More or less it's to protect myself. It seems to work alright so far.
On another note... I should become a dentist. Dealing with some people is like pulling teeth! If I could just create a profession out of dealing with people like that, I'd be rich! I mean, I like being in control of situations, who doesn't? But it's nice sometimes when other people handle their crap and get organized.
My mom always said, you can't change people or make them do what you want them to do. That's fine, I'll just do things my way then.

Ugh!
So... I am pretty sure I have eaten my weight in chocolate.
Also... Heart pizza is still classified as pizza even though it's cute pizza. The calories DO count and the grease was still able to be soaked up by a paper towel. I'm quite sure my five year old is still coming down from her sugar high, and the housework is piling up.
Needless to say, it was a good Valentine's day.
I ignored most housework yesterday, so the laundry is just getting started tonight. But hey, that's how it should be on a "holiday" right? It was a great day, we were all nice to eachother, (ie. no tempertantrums or attitudes) and we shared the love with gifts and cards. Good day.
BUT...
I really don't get Valentine's day. I mean, I understand it's to show those you love, that you love them. But shouldn't you do that daily? What does February 14th have to do with anything?
I pretty much hate the commercialism of this "holiday". I've decided that next year, we won't be giving anything but home made gifts. That's how it should be. After all, what's a better way to show someone you love them than by taking your own time and creating something special for them?
